Ford emphasises the importance of the Vignale range in its future growth​

Ford’s European boss, Jim Farley, has recently placed the company’s luxury Vignale models at the centre of the manufacturer’s strategy for global growth. Drivers are increasingly seeking a more refined driving experience, alongside Ford’s strengths in consistent reliability and value for money.

The Vignale range is a response to that desire for exclusivity, and represents a direct attempt to keep mainstream buyers away from premium brands that specialise in luxury. Speaking to Auto Express, Mr Farley stated: “Vignale is a very important part of our future strategy. We are increasingly being challenged in the mainstream sector by premium rivals who are competing for our customers”.

In current Ford cars, the range-topping Titanium equipment level is aimed at a more affluent market accustomed to enjoying the latest advances in technology and comfort. Alongside the Vignale sub-brand, the ST Performance selection has also risen in importance. These models focus on sporty looks and high-calibre engines, as an athletic contrast to the Vignale range’s refinement.
