SMC Excited to Take Delivery of New MG6

As an MG specialist SMC were proud to be one of the first MG dealers in the UK to take delivery of the new MG6 Sports Fastback. The British built MG 6 represents a new era for MG whose last model was produced at their Longbridge factory 16 years ago.

After collecting the all-new MG6 from the MG Motor factory in Birmingham, SMC joined Mike Whitby, the leader of Birmingham City Council, and MG Motor UK’s Sales & Marketing Director, Guy Jones, at a ceremony to toast the success of the new model.   

The first production model rolled off the UK production line on the 13th April 2011, and it was an exciting to see all the new MG6’s lined up in front of Birmingham Council house for their send off.

SMC have already received a lot of interest in the new model, which was designed and engineered at the UK plant. MG has combined their sports car heritage with a modern new look and are looking to an exciting future, starting with the new MG6.

The all-new MG6 is equipped with a 1.8 litre turbocharged petrol engine and a high standard spec, with three trim levels available.
