With the new Vitara, Suzuki builds upon its years of SUV expertise to create a rugged off-roader that performs just as well on-road. This stylish and eye-catching model is also packed full of cutting-edge technology to make every journey a rewarding and connected experience.
Heads turn every time the Vitara is on the road, as the exterior is prominent yet sophisticated. The vehicle has classic tall and muscular SUV proportions, with sculpted panels adding to the sense of athleticism. All-round protection preserves the body from knocks and scrapes in all environments, while alloy wheels, silver roof rails and LED daytime running lights confirm the car’s premium nature.
On the inside the appeal continues, as the cabin is spacious and crafted from superior materials. The three-spoke leather steering wheel is paired with silver accents and chrome door handles as standard, with luxurious suede upholstery included in the range-topping SZ5. Throughout the cockpit you’ll find conveniently placed storage areas to keep all items and documents tucked away close to hand, and with a 60:40 split folding rear bench the generous boot expands to hold even more.
Suzuki knows that motorists expect more from latest-generation models, and has equipped the Vitara superbly well to satisfy the most discerning buyer. All variants offer an audio system with USB input, a DAB digital tuner and Bluetooth connectivity plus steering-wheel mounted controls. Upgrading from entry-level adds the ability to link a smartphone with the audio unit, on top of an intelligent satellite navigation system to lead you to every destination with little disruption. A rear parking camera is included with all but the SZ4 variant, too, and all boast Suzuki’s clever engine start/stop system to cut emissions.
Under the bonnet you have a choice between a 1.6-litre petrol or diesel with either two-wheel drive or ALLGRIP four-wheel drive. The advanced ALLGRIP system gives offers four driving modes, selected with the twist of a dial to suit the conditions ahead. It also contributes to optimum fuel efficiency, which means combined economy as high as 67.2mpg for the 1.6-litre DDIS ALLGRIP. The two-wheel drive DDIS is the cleanest of all units, releasing just 106g/km of CO2.
Unsurprisingly the Vitara also performs safely, and works hard to prevent accidents as well as mitigate their effects. Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist Function slow and stop the SUV in a controlled way, while hill hold control stops the vehicle from rolling backwards when pulling away on an incline. Front, side and curtain airbags protect from all angles, and are complemented by ISOFIX child seat anchor points to hold infant passengers securely.
The Vitara presents a real challenge to higher priced alternatives in a competitive segment, matching them for instant attraction and driving excitement. You can discover this for yourself with a test drive from SMC Suzuki, simply enquire with our team for details.
